With the new r2 package I get the following error:
postarticles: file .keep_net-nntp_leafnode-0 lacks Newsgroups and/or Message-ID header (this cannot happen)
moving file .keep_net-nntp_leafnode-0 to failed.postings

I don't think this is a new problem, just that with the very low frequency of leafnode updates it hardly ever shows up. I also think it is otherwise harmless.

A solution could be to ensure these directories are present with tmpfiles.d
