Tried building and running chocolate-doom on a ppc machine (PowerBook 5,2). Performance is not perfect, otherwise it works just fine. Please add ~ppc keyword. Reproducible: Always

freedoom-data reportedly fails to build on big-endian systems like ppc. While chocolate-doom doesn't depend on any data packages, I'd be grateful whether you could verify this, as it's been a while since anyone tried.
No, freedoom-data doesn't build: deutex -v0 -rate accept -doom2 bootstrap/ -iwad -build wadinfo_phase1.txt wads/freedoom1.wad w WR11 bootstrap//doom2.wad has more than 4046 lumps: vanilla-incompatible E WR13 bootstrap//doom2.wad: invalid directory offset 1C030000 make: *** [Makefile:65: wads/freedoom1.wad] Error 2 * ERROR: games-fps/freedoom-data-0.12.1-r1::gentoo failed (compile phase): * emake failed
