Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-05-24 00:34:07 UTC
Starting alsaconf at the console yields in:

 Configuring snd-***

Do you want to modify err?

 Configuring [lib/liblow.c(329)]:

Do you want to modify /etc/modules.d/alsa?

             < Yes > < No >

and a corrupted /etc/modules.d/alsa after answering yes.

This error does not happens in a xterm (there the sound card snd-intel8x0 is
correctly determined) or at the console, if gpm was started previously.

Comment 1 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2005-08-24 11:58:30 UTC
Actually, this is a problem of the "dialog" program called by alsaconf.
See bug #100921.
