I really liked the pppoeconf software from Debian, found here: http://packages.debian.org/testing/net/pppoeconf It isn't in portage. Would it be possible to have it included in portage? Or.. would it be possible for anyone to give me atleast a sketch of the ebuild? I'm just learning bash programming and would rather like to use the software now, than wait till I learn to write the ebuild. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
May I also add pppstatus to as a request? I just tried slurm (its in portage), which is suppose to be a replacement for pppstatus, but I prefer pppstatus. Thank you. :)
do you have an ebuild proposal?
I didn't understand exactly what you meant by an "ebuild proposal". But if I understand it correctly, I would like to see both of theses software included in Portage. The other day, I was just looking at the various ebuilds. I looked at the pppconfig ebuild and it seems that it won't be too difficult, even for me, to write an ebuild for pppoeconf. I shall try to write an ebuild in the new few days. I would appreciate any help. Thank you. :)
no one stepped up to make an ebuild for this. it's time to close this bug.
