There is little problem with dependicies of lablgl ebuild. It depends on  media-libs/glut:

DEPEND=">=dev-lang/ocaml-3.05
        virtual/opengl
        glut? ( media-libs/glut )
        tcltk? (
                >=dev-lang/tcl-8.3
                >=dev-lang/tk-8.3
        )"

There is a better glut implementation called freeglut. Current dep cause problems if freeglut is installed and glut USE flag is set. The fix is to change the dependency from media-libs/glut to virtual/glut
