The iBurst PCMCIA driver for kernel 2.4 has been ported to 2.6. This ebuild should install the required drivers to get it working. Refer to the following Whirlpool forums thread for details: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=311841 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -pv ibut 2. 3. Actual Results: These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "ibut". Expected Results: Emerge the ibut drivers for iBurst PCMCIA adapter. Removed keyword REQUEST. This bug is not a request it contains an ebuild. bug-wranglers re-assigned bug before I could upload ebuild :)
What exactly is an iBurst card?
I've started a forum thread for users to install this driver. Links to the iBurst website in here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-335474-highlight-.html Just realise I referred to the package as ibut in my original comments. This was renamed to iburst-driver for the files I uploaded. Sorry for any confusion.

Updated URL as project is now hosted on SF. Uploaded new ebuild and modules and pcmcia config files to reflect latest release.
Created attachment 70202 [details, diff] sysfs patch sysfs patch for ibdriver. Creates a device link in /sys between the logical network device and the physical device. Only works for PCMCIA devices. Tested on gentoo-sources-2.6.12-r10.
Created attachment 70204 [details] ibdriver-1.2.1.ebuild New ebuild to apply sysfs patch.
Created attachment 71886 [details] ibdriver-2.0.0
Created attachment 81871 [details] ibdriver-1.2.8.ebuild Version bump. Couldn't figure out how to install PCMCIA or USB module so it now just installs both. The PCMCIA USE flag is required to install the config files.
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
