checking for libegroupwise-1.0 >= 1.0.3... Package libegroupwise-1.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libegroupwise-1.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libegroupwise-1.0' found

configure: error: Library requirements (libegroupwise-1.0 >= 1.0.3) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

any words on this issue ? I cant upgrade because SSL doesnt work on the next version, and this release - so called stable doesn't even compile - I need a working mail client - please.
Comment 3 Herbie Hopkins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-03 02:45:40 UTC
what version of evolution-data-server do you have installed? It seems that
evolution-2.0* requires evolution-data-server-1.0* so please try to:
# emerge =gnome-extra/evolution-data-server-1.0*
and then try to emerge evolution again.

gnome herd: Maybe the evolution DEPEND should be adjusted to reflect this?
Comment 4 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-05 16:19:42 UTC
reporter: do you still have this problem when trying to emerge the latest evolution?
Comment 5 Nuno Alexandre 2005-07-07 14:31:49 UTC
I've been using 2.2.1.1 for a while. it runs.
Comment 6 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-16 06:30:42 UTC
reporter says it runs now.
Comment 7 Nuno Alexandre 2005-07-16 08:48:29 UTC
2.2.1.1 runs/executes.

_but_ version 2.0.3-r2, i have lost track of it.
