The Gentoo live usb is full of animation, starting with the animated "welcome" window. It can cause migraines, motion sickness, and severe nausea. Trying to find options to block the animation, every menu animates opening and closing, every cursor blinks, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open live usb. Actual Results: Severe pain, almost immediate migraine, no clear way to prevent the animation *before* it starts, or to stop it afterwards, except to quit the live usb. Expected Results: Some pain, but not so much animation, and a practical way to stop the animation under "Effects," and/or under "Accessibility," without getting hit by so much animation in the process. If I use the arrow keys instead of scrolling the KDE "Desktop Effects" menu, it converts this to animated scrolling. I ca't figure out if "Desktop Effects" includes options to stop nearly enough of the pain/animation because this is too much pain/animation. I can't report from Gentoo, so can't use emerge --info.
I suggest for now that you boot with "nogui" kernel parameter to prevent sddm startup then from tty1 run "XSESSION=fluxbox startx"
