I receive same errors as shown in Jonathan's emerge.log. Here's my emerge --info

please note that neither Lipsey nor I use distcc, nor are we trying to compile arts...

i have been using gcc3.4 for some time now, and had no problems. all other kde packages are compiled using non-distcc 3.4

reopened due to the above

As you can see from the other duplicates of bug 64615, this is a more general problem happening when mixing gcc 3.3 and 3.4, either exposed by distcc, by ccache, or simply by switching to gcc 3.4 without recompiling the packages using libstdc++.so.5.

I'm changing the summary on bug 64615 to be more clear...
