In my init scripts, which I didn't modify, so, they are Gentoo's defaults, the ntp related scripts: ntpd and ntp-client are run before adsl. In my case, adsl starts the connection by which ntp-client should connect and sync my clock.
What happens is that I always get a error from ntp-client at boot time, the error is not being able to resolve the domains.
I think the dependencies of the init scripts here is wrong or somwthing like this.
