Description Paul Ortyl 2005-04-28 00:13:58 UTC
ebuild for current stable bochs-2.1.1 does not support pci nor pcidev linux kernel module (needed for mapping real PCI devices to bochs hardware space)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Give me some pointers about that.
Comment 2 Paul Ortyl 2005-04-28 03:58:28 UTC
Some related URL's:

http://bochs.sourceforge.net/doc/docbook/user/bochsrc.html#AEN1710

http://bochs.sourceforge.net/doc/docbook/user/compiling.html
(--enable-pcidev)

I am not sure if it works in 2.1.1, but it is a feature, which might be set with a private USE flag. Additional script, which would (re)compile the module for current kenrnel sources would be nice too :)

looks like it would require some testing and to make bochs depend on the kernel related eclasses... I should check if a split ebuild is feasible

Should be closed as OBSOLETE
