Description Greg Watson (linuxkrn) 2005-04-27 08:50:14 UTC
I would like to request that hostname be either an option or just added to xtermTitle (short_msg in emerge).

The reason is to tell the difference between hosts when doing more then one emerge on termnals.

Examples:

emerging@foobar: (12/64) ...
emerge on foobar: (12/64) ...
foobar: emerging: (12/64) ...

Where foobar is $HOSTNAME.

Thanks!

Putting a hold on feature requests for portage as they are drowning out the
bugs. Most of these features should be available in the next major version of
portage. But for the time being, they are just drowning out the major bugs and
delaying the next version's progress.

Any bugs that contain patches and any bugs for etc-update or dispatch-conf can
be reopened. Sorry, I'm just not good enough with bugzilla. ;)

Reopening for consideration

Added in trunk. Note that you have to export $HOSTNAME for this to work.
