Description Jason Pfeil 2005-04-25 10:21:02 UTC
The newest rsync version available is 2.6.4. Why haven't the rsyncs newer than 2.6.0 been unmasked? 2.6.0 came out in January, 2005, and it's now the end of April, 2005. Any idea when versions >=2.6.3 will be unmasked for general consumption or is there some major compatibility issue preventing it from being released?

Many improvements in the efficiency of rsync have been made in newer versions and it would be nice to be able to take advantage of them. So, is there a specific holdup?

Thanks!
