Recruitment team: Stuart has been succesfully working with the Gentoo Documentation team, providing good work with the MIPS documentation. As a result, we would like Stuart to start with the next phase in the documentation recruitment, which is to allow read-only CVS access to the Gentoo Documentation, allowing him to create commit-ready patches. During this phase, all his patches will be either verbatimly committed by full-time documentation devs or refused with a lengthy but constructive note as to why.
Ping: Any update on Redhatter's quiz status by chance?
Sorry about the delay. I'll run through the quizzes ASAP.
Reminder: request is for read-only CVS as far as GDP is concerned. Stuart should submit more patches and then take the GDP quiz at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gdp/doc/doc-quiz.xml before moving on with GDP recruitment as decribed in http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gdp/doc/doc-policy.xml#doc_chap4
Hi, Don't mean to sound impatient, just wondering how preparations are going? I have attempted the documentation quiz... haven't actually passed it yet, but seeing as I've got 5 assignments for university on the go, I've put that on one side. I'm planning to retry this once my exams are over. (around 28th June... I might be able to get near it sooner, but no promises there) At this point... my priority here, is mainly getting the 2005.0 stages for Cobalt servers, up on Gentoo servers where users can test them. At the moment, they are hosted on my server here[1], however it is on a slow link. 16kB/s is the max I can guarantee, assuming one user at a time, which is fine for a website, but lousy for anything big (>10MB). I don't really mind where they get put (either another dev mirroring them, or in my own devspace), just so long as they're available for download. If need be, we could press on, and come back to do the documentation -- as everything there is more or less in order (for the moment). I've got some more documentation to commit (namely a Gentoo/MIPS FAQ I've been working on) and when there's time, I'll complete that, and commit it. I've also been working on ways to improve the netbooting procedure (which I'm not completely happy with), and of course, that section of the handbook, will be updated once I figure out the full details. I'm online (IRC) if you have any queries. Regards, Stuart Longland 1. http://www.longlandclan.hopto.org/~stuartl/mips-linux/cobalt/gentoo/
Welcome aboard, Stuart.

Stuart has time for Gentoo only on weekends and currently is busy mostly with releng work in MIPS department, that's why his commit rates have fallen. He's still an active developer though and this means this bug can be closed.
Back in April, Stuart emailed council@ and mips@ saying > I think from here on in, I'll start to round up the places where the > @gentoo.org email address I use is still subscribe, and switch that over > to a private one and generally start preparing for formal retirement. > On the package front, there's not a lot I look after directly ... > svxlink could probably go as the ebuilds are next to useless. I completely forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder Stuart, that you for everything you've done for Gentoo. If you ever want to come back please reopen this bug.
