if i do a install to a md software raid with the 2005.0 stage3 stage file,
i cant boot becus the md devices nodes are missing from the " /lib/udev-state/devices.tar.bz2" file

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

soulotion that works boot the system and anter root pw when it complains about
the root filesystem. remount filesystem to rw. do a MAKEDEV md in /dev use tar
to make a new file to replace /lib/udev-state/devices.tar.bz2 sync remount to
ro and reboot.

Those files are not there on purpose. The udev tarball is designed only for drivers that are not sysfs-aware and should not contain any files required for boot. I am willing to bet that your raid configuration is the issue. Did you use auto-config or are you using a raidtab file?
