I have some scipts to do some conversion/overlay that use the command convert from Imagemagick, till version 6.1.8.8 everything works exactly as expected, which mean with a source image esa.png of 921 x 656 the command convert -page +0+-461 esa.png -mosaic 2005-04-01-13h53m56.png gives me an image of also 921 x 656 (OK, not really needed here, but in other case it is and it's only to show the problem). With version 6.2.0.4 and 6.2.0.6 it produce me an image of size 4769 x 1117 ??? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge =imagemagick-6.1.8.8 2.convert -page +0+-461 "png.file of 921 x 656" -mosaic name.png 3.file name.png will give good result Actual Results: 1.emerge =imagemagick-6.2.0.4 2.convert -page +0+-461 "png.file of 921 x 656" -mosaic name.png The file will be too great with lots of white... Expected Results: Same as with oll version >=6.1.8.8 Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/amd64/2004.3, gcc-3.4.3, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.6.12-rc1 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-rc1 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 [2.3.4 (#1, Feb 8 2005, 22:51:32)] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 sys-devel/automake: 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.5, 1.4_p6, 1.6.3, 1.9.4 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.10-r4 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r4 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -march=k8" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -march=k8" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks fixpackages sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/ http://www.gigaload.org/gentoo.org/ ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/" LANG="en_US.iso88591" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync16.de.gentoo.org/gentoo-merged" USE="X aac aalib acl acpi aim alsa amd64 apache2 apm arts audiofile avi bash-completion berkdb bidi bitmap-fonts bonobo bzlib cdparanoia cdr cjk crypt cups curl dga dio directfb divx4linux djbfft doc dvb dvd dvdr dvdread encode esd ethereal exif fam fbcon fftw flac font-server fortran gdbm gg gif ginac gmp gpm gtk gtk2 icq imagemagick imlib ipv6 irc ithreads jabber java jp2 jpeg junit libedit libwww live lj lzo lzw lzw-tiff mad matroska mikmod mng motif mozilla mp3 mpeg msn multilib mysql ncurses network nls nvidia oggvorbis opengl oss pam pda pdflib perl plotutils png python quicktime readline real rss rtc scanner sdl slang sndfile spell ssl tcltk tcpd tetex theora threads tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode usb userlocales uudeview v4l2 xanim xchattext xml2 xmms xpm xprint xrandr xv xvid xvmc yahoo zlib" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS
imagemagick-6.2.2.0 still have the same problem...
Reopen if you still can reproduce this w/ 6.3.0.5-r1; thanks.
