We're trying to get rid of unnecessary threading-related use flags, and darcs is one of two packages that have +threaded in IUSE.
Consider enabling threaded support unconditionally and removing the threaded flag. I know nothing about Haskell's multithreading support these days or whether there are still valid use cases to disable this.
