Description Gour 2005-03-21 00:11:31 UTC
Hi!

kimdaba cannot be emerged with kde-3.4.
ebuild states as dependency: need-kde 3.2, and I tried to change it to kde-3.4, but still:

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/kde/3.3/lib/libkio.la'
make[3]: *** [kimdaba] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/kimdaba-2.0/work/kimdaba-2.0/kimdaba'

I tried to look at autotools files, but could not find what's wrong so that /usr/kde/3.3 is included :-(

(I do not have kde-3.3. any longer)

Sincerely,
Gour

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kimdaba
2.
3.

Actual Results:
ebuild fails

kimdaba appears to be looking for older libraries... Not quite sure on this one.

kde re-assignment.
Comment 2 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-21 01:31:43 UTC
This probably happens because one of kimdaba dependencies (libkipi?) was compiled against kde-3.3. You should make sure all dependencies are recompiled with kde-3.4.

Yes, libkipi was an old culprit.

We can close this one ;)

Sincerely,
Gour
