CUPS Driver for Windows is a unified driver for windows 5.0 and higher, that prints to a samba+cups server in postscript format and understands CUPS PPDs. It gives the ability to use just one driver for every printer behind a samba+cups server, while still taking advantage of each printers abilities (eg., resolution, double-sided printing, tray selection, etc...) through the PPD system. It can be installed in a samba server so win clients will automagically get it whenever they need. The ebuild should depend on CUPS, and should uncompress the driver in /usr/share/cups/drivers, so the user will be able to use cupsaddsmb (included in base cups) to install it in the samba server. CUPS Driver for Windows 6.0 is now out. http://www.cups.org/windows/software.php?6.0 we need an ebuild for these files contained in the package: cups6.inf cups6.ini cups6.ppd cupsps6.dll cupsui6.dll these should all go in /usr/share/cups/drivers
ebuild: http://genstef.homelinux.org/local/net-print/cups-windows/cups-windows-6.0.ebuild But I am not sure if we really need this, billing options? SOunds like something really strange that is only needed in rare cases.
