Attila, if you're interested, here's what I did to get around the issue (which has been forced now that the offending version 1.5.1 is the only one in portage... I could not emerge -Du world without disabling maketest... that defeats the purpose, no?) It assumes you have a previous version of opensp already installed. 1) Mask app-text/opensp-1.5.1 2) Copy the old ebuild from /var/db/pkg/ to the portage overlay dir 3) Go back to being oblivious to the existence of this package, including not watching this bug anymore. Bye.
Paul, thank you for this workaround! ;-) Well I somewhen emerged 1.5.1 with maketest disabled. And I have no prior version on my machine :-\ I hope this bug WILL BE FIXED somewhen.
I also get 6 failures, and opensp was already installed. So the workaround does not work for me. I ran into same error, 6 tests failed. I googled for this problem and it seems that the failure of 6 tests is at the moment normal (see http://www.nabble.com/OpenSP-1.5.2pre1-Released-t635664.html) Work-around is to use 'make check SHOWSTOPPERS=' which excludes tests that always fail. Strange though that they activate tests that are known to fail always... I attach new ebuild for 1.5.1 which solved the issue for me. Dustin
