Why are libkipi and kipi-plugins removed from the gentoo tree? I found this git commit https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/kde-apps?id=7b31977298fee27e757ae3344a6f66a9b5fce554 which stated that in newer KDE Gears releases those packages where missing. But that is not the case. They are still there even in 22.04.1: https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/22.04.1/src/ https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/22.04.1/src/libkipi-22.04.1.tar.xz https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/22.04.1/src/kipi-plugins-22.04.1.tar.xz or for 21.12.0 https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/21.12.0/src/libkipi-21.12.0.tar.xz https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/21.12.0/src/kipi-plugins-21.12.0.tar.xz Reproducible: Always
kipi-plugins and libkipi packages are also listed in the KDE Gears Releases Source Info Page. https://kde.org/info/releases-21.12.0/ https://kde.org/info/releases-21.12.3/ https://kde.org/info/releases-22.04.1/

(In reply to Hans Ulli Kroll from comment #2) > Please read > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452738 AH ok. Then the git commit message was a bit misleading.

Then the git commit message was a bit misleading. I'm sorry that the commit message was misleading. They're likely to be dropped in newer KDE Gear releases. They are very much on the chopping block. The support for them in all KDE Gear applications is rotting and there's no real interest in keeping it alive.
