If I enable autologin, gdm will fail to start at boot (also the system will be unusable as systemd will keep restarting it and failing forever :S The failing start is due to this error when trying to start my X session: (EE) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Failed to acquire modesetting permission But that error only happens at boot time, if I disable gdm.service and later start it with systemctl start gdm it works fine. Also works fine if I disable autologin I wondered if maybe we should do like Arch and package a snapshot including the round of fixes they added for nvidia setups:
