There is a pam_chroot module project at http://sourceforge.net/projects/pam-chroot/
The pam_chroot module that you use in the pam package is so so out of the date.
Is there a reason, why don't you use the new pam_chroot module? If not, please integrate the new, and regularly maintained code.

If it can be built on its own, it should be better providing an ebuild for it 
as external package, so that it can be used also with OpenPAM implementation.
