Description Alberto Re 2005-02-26 15:40:12 UTC
After installing the whole system I can't log into while a critical error occur in pam.
After chrooting into the environment and read the /var/log/messages I can see that the file /etc/pam.d/other is missing.
After creating it with default configuration all works fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install gentoo by stage3 on ppc G4 ( ibook in my case )
2. Finish installation and reboot
3. Try to login

Actual Results:
I can't login. A critical error occurred in pam.

Expected Results:
Authorize me.

This is a known issue with 2004.3 stage3 and should be fixed in 2005.0. Can you please test 2005.0? It can be found here: http://dev.gentoo.org/~pvdabeel/2005.0/

Reopen the bug if it's still a problem. Thanks!

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
