Please rename cle266 to unichrome. Hardware mpeg decoding in mythtv is for more then just CLE266. It's for all unichrome chipsets with a hardware mpeg2 decoder chip. Also the current unichrome/cle266 use flag is none-funtional without the install of the libviaXvMCW . I'll present a new bug with an ebuild to fix this. libviaXvMCW will not function without an "add-on" to xorg-x11 (unichrome driver patch and libviaXvMC). Still working on that. libviaXvMC will not work without a drm-update to the kernel updating it from version 1.5.0 to 2.0.0 (at least). An update ebuild is already written for that and undergoing tests. Will be released asap. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Please contact me if in need of more info. I'll release ebuilds as soon as possible into the bugs tree.
yeah. The necessary stuff didn't exist in Portage. Plus.. Myth is still in unstable.. so.. we're waiting on the deps to be satisfied prior to stable release.
correct that please... myth install for mythtv 0.17 is still unstable. (I just editted the eclass and skipped documentation install)... Mythtv runs as solid as a rock here. (since 0.12 only upgraded ) :) xorg-x11 is going to be a tough cooky. Spydar already said multiple times that he's got no time implementing the unichrome drivers which are mainly maintained by unichrome itself (it's add on, not patch in..)
renamed.

any ebuilds for libviaXvMCW? At this point this is really just depending on the x11 herd to add that stuff to Portage.
Please try xorg 6.8.99.x and reopen if that doesn't work. The viaXvMC files certainly exist in the source.
