The latest clamav ebuild installs configs for clamd and freshclam to /etc/clamav/. However the freshclam.conf file installed by default references the clamd.conf file in the old location: # Send the RELOAD command to clamd. # Default: no NotifyClamd /etc/clamd.conf I am not entirely sure what motivated the relocation of the config files. I generally think we should usually stick with default upstream paths, precisely to avoid such problems.
