The discussion about this is at bug 67872. Can't really mark this one as duplicate of that one, because that one started out as a different bug entirely...
well, we really have a problem, but we still don't know which package is the evil guy.
As always the evil guys are the ones from the kde herd :) The workaround here is `emerge -C =kdebindings-3.3*` for now.
escargot distfiles # emerge -C =kdebindings-3.3* -p --- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: =gnustep-libs/gsweb/gsweb-1.1.1_pre20041203 --- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: =gnustep-libs/gsweb--1.1.1_pre20050106 >>> These are the packages that I would unmerge: --- Couldn't find =kdebindings-3.3* to unmerge. >>> unmerge: No packages selected for removal. escargot distfiles #
If you don't have kde-base/kdebindings emerged, and emerge world still wants kdelibs 3.3.0, check emerge world -pt to see what depends on kdelibs 3.3.0.
escargot pam.d # emerge world -pt These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order: Calculating world dependencies *** Package in world file is not installed: gnome-base/gnome-light *** Package in world file is not installed: x11-wm/enlightenment-cvs / emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "~kde-base/kdelibs-3.3.0". !!! You have kdebindings in /var/lib/portage/world, then? If it is so, remove it from there, and emerge kdebindings-meta to get the latest kdebindings.
kdebindings removed from portage now, kdebindings-meta should be used instead.
