I am trying to upgrade k3b, but the config fails presumably from pthreads again.
Similar problem here http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80917

linux_64 ace # emerge -pv k3b

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Doing emerge qt solved the problem - k3b compiled
