Description Matt Prall 2002-09-13 20:37:08 UTC
when you emerge lilo it puts an example config in /etc, it says "delay=50" but
that is incorrect and should be "timeout=50".

no ... delay is a valid option
what is missing is a timeout line ...
but that depends ... lilo will boot without a timeout line (i think) ... i just
dont know what the default timeout value is ...

<snip http://home.san.rr.com/johninsd/pub/linux/lilo/sample/lilo.sample.conf>
# We always want to see the prompt with a 15 second timeout

prompt
timeout=150

#
# If a LOCKed command line, or pre-stored command line is present
# delay 3 seconds to allow cancellation with the Shift key

delay=30
</snip>

Oh I didnt realize that, sorry. Actually it doesnt boot, it requires the user to
hit enter to boot the distro, just a suggestion, you might want to add that in.

you are correct that it should be in there though ;)
