SpamAssassin is a mail filter to identify spam. It has a rules based system which assigns points to an email and leaves you to decide the outcome. It plugs into many mail systems, such as, procmail, kmail, qmail, postfix, and others. It also supports various blacklists, like the RBL and mail-abuse.org. It consists of a Perl module, a few Perl scripts, and an optional client and daemon version written in C. I put it in dev-perl, although it might do better in net-mail. This package rules, by far the best spam-catcher I've used.
