Description Gabriel 2021-02-13 09:48:56 UTC
Since "As of 2013-01-29, eudev-3.2.10 provides the new interface renaming functionality..." is indeed a little bit dated and takes a lot of space for regular updates, please consider replacing it with a one liner along the lines of "NB: for old style interface naming, add kernel parameter net.ifnames=0"

Most users should be aware of udev's new interface naming system and suggesting the briefest way to switch that functionality in ewarn -as opposed to using 2 paragraphs to explain the history- seems like a good compromise.
