(feel free to suggest a better portage group than app-admin) tac_plus is a TACACS+ server, developed by Cisco and currently maintained by John Heasley. Included is the ebuild, support files (tac_plus.conf, tac_plus.confd, tac_plus.init), and the license (this license is different from the other 2 cisco licenses currently in portage). This ebuild also has a local USE flag, which can be described as: app-admin/tac_plus:finger - Adds support for checking user counts via fingering the NAS Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

I was able to get a later copy (tac_plus-4.4beta2.tar.gz) from a different URL: http://www.networkforums.net/ This one also has optional support for MySQL and could use the mysql USE variable.
for a better category, I think net-nds may be suitable.

This is in portage as net-nds/tac_plus, thank you for your ebuild submission. I have attached my version of it, as I had to make a few updates. The license bears striking similarity to the existing "as-is" in portage, so I have not added a separate license file to the tree.
