The removal of qt-creator 4.8.3 make it is no longer possible to install qt-creator unless upgrading to unstable qt with all the struggles that gives. It can be installed with current stable qt 5.14.2 but only with USE=-qmldesigner (otherwise enabled by default), see bug #744142
Investigating further it seems like the module dev-qt/qtquicktimeline is missing from qt 5.14 (5.14.2). According to documentation is was introduced for qt 5.14 (and should perhaps be added, possible as unstable for the present stable version of Qt. https://doc.qt.io/qt-5.14/qtquicktimeline-index.html The dependency from qt-creator is >=dev-qt/qtquicktimeline-5.12.3 while on my system the earliest version in standard tree seems to be 5.15.
