Subject says it all. It is a one-liner patch. Also tested on emacs-21.3 (stable ebuild), works nicely. This patch allow opening of .java files in jde mode without emacs-cvs bailing out with error and reverting to fundamental mode.

Now I'll see if I can get emacs-cvs to work with jsp-pages in jde-html mode (using mmm-mode), thing that emacs (stable ebuild) handles nicely...
