Comment 1 Florian Engelhardt 2004-12-08 07:06:14 UTC
I think that does not directly rely on ucspi-tcp
Comment 2 Florian Engelhardt 2004-12-08 07:53:06 UTC
I think it relys on patch. After that chrashed, i tried the following:
#cd /var/tmp/portage/ucspi-tcp-0.88-r8/work/ucspi-tcp-0.88
#patch -p0 -g0 < /var/tmp/portage/ucspi-tcp-0.88-r8/work/ucspi-tcp-ssl-20020705.patch
Segmentation fault

So, patch seems the trouble maker!

I have patch version 2.5.9 installed, if i try to emerge it again
it gives me the same error messages.
Comment 3 Florian Engelhardt 2004-12-08 07:59:04 UTC
I opened a bug for that patch issue.
doing an 'emerge =patch-2.5.9'
solves the problem.
Comment 4 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-08 08:01:38 UTC
this is NOT a bugzilla bug, this is GENTOO LINUX bug. reassigning as such.
