Description nvaert1986 2020-07-31 11:42:15 UTC
The fwupd service longer starts properly / hangs when running fwupdmgr / gnome-software no longer finds updates after upgrading to sys-apps/systemd-2.45.5. Upgrading to sys-apps/fwupd-1.4.4 (which is ~amd64) resolved the issue. Re-emerging sys-apps/fwupd-1.3.10 did not resolve the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Reboot the system after emerging sys-apps/systemd-2.45.5 with sys-apps/fwupd-1.3.10 installed.

Actual Results:
The fwupdmgr no longer functions.

Expected Results:
A functioning fwupdmgr

It's resolved by installing sys-apps/fwupd-1.4.4.

P.S.: A separate bug report as requested in https://bugs.gentoo.org/734762.
