Description Justin Jones 2002-09-01 13:24:21 UTC
The description is currently:
       -N, --needed
Display needed packages that are not installed. (red)
           (default)

       -R, --removed
Display installed packages not in portage. (yellow)
           (default)

From the horses mouth it should be something like:
[02:16] < binaryrain> Nagash: red's are things that can be upgraded but aren't
in your world (ie, things that were installed as a
dependancy of something you explicitly installed)

[02:17] < binaryrain> Nash: yellow's are things that aren't in the portage tree
anymore (things that are older but you haven't upgraded
                      recently)
