I can't reproduce your problem here. I get a popup 0x0 and the application does not quit.

Please provide emerge info and the beep-media-player version you're running.

Okay, that must be an amd64-specific bug, your CFLAGS make sense.
The 0.9.7 release is expected in less then a week and should fix a few playlist-related bugs. I have reported your bug upstream and they have asked to test 0.9.7 when it comes out.
Comment 4 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-16 08:13:12 UTC
Could you test on the new 0.9.7 release please?
If you wait two hours then sync your portage tree, you should be able to merge it.
Comment 5 postmodern 2004-12-16 19:43:58 UTC
Installed beep-media-player-0.9.7 and the bug still persists with the exact same error message.
Comment 6 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-17 08:59:37 UTC
I have submitted a bug upstream and added you to the CC list.
Comment 7 postmodern 2004-12-19 04:50:08 UTC
David Le Brun ( produced a nice patch that resolves the issue. Attached are the patch and a diff for the beep-media-player-0.9.7 ebuild.

Reopening and adding upstream patch. Compiles fine here on x86.
