My PS/2 keyboard does not work in xorg (xorg-x11 6.8.0-r3) when I have enabled 17 or more vc's in my /etc/inittab I use a PS/2 mouse, which always works perfect in all situations Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. make extra entries in /etc/inittab to create extra vc's (minimal a total of 17 entries) 2. run 'startx' 3. try to use your keyboard. Actual Results: The keyboard does not give anything to the computer. The numlock led does not light up when numlock is pressed (when it was off before) After I exited the X-server (by using the mouse) I could use the keyboard normally in my consoles. Expected Results: After staring the X-server, the keyboard should be usable normally. Attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log please.
Created attachment 44890 [details] Xorg.0.log with no working keyboard This is the log of Xorg.0.log when having no keyboard in X.
Created attachment 44892 [details] Xorg.0.log with working keyboard in X This is the Xorg.0.log with a working keyboard in X. Should I also attach my /etc/inittab files for both the working and non working keyboard?
Sure; better too much information than too little.
Created attachment 44909 [details] inittab when keyboard is working in xorg This is the /etc/inittab file when the keyboard is working in X. I noticed that, when I run startx from vc 16 (tty16) also the X display is started on vc 16. while normally it would be started on vc 17.

Today I also noticed that when I run startx from vc/15 my keyboard is also not working in X. So, when having 16 vc's, it works when using vc/16 and not when using vc/15. When having 15 vc's, it works using vc/15 to run startx (I haven't tested anything else yet)
If this remains an issue with modular X, please reopen.
(In reply to comment #8) > If this remains an issue with modular X, please reopen. I have tested today with the modular X and the issue is solved. I can use my keyboard and have more than 16 vc's.
