2) it is one of two packages depending on dev-perl/gnome2-vfs-perl (the other one being unmaintained app-misc/gcstar).
3) and via gnome-base/libgnomeui it is indirectly blocking gnome-base/libgnome-keyring removal in bug 713010.
Upstream development seems to have come to a halt, unless it is happening somewhere else than launchpad these days?
I merged the patch upstream to remove the perl gnome2 dependency, expecting a release ~soon.
