KDE (3.3.1) kio smb did not work with the libsmbclient from Samba 3.0.8
Samba 3.0.7 works fine.
Recompile kdebase with Samba 3.0.8 configure at the end libsmbclient not fount.

With Samba 3.0.7

Probably this is the same problem of bug #70925. 
If with samba-3.0.9 it doesn't work, please attach the config.log file.
