Description Eric Paynter 2004-11-23 20:45:13 UTC
Just upgraded to nvidia-kernel 6111. Now when I play 3d games for a few mins, system hangs. This also happenend with all the 5xxx series, so I've been using 4496 until it was recently removed from the tree :|

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch game like ET or UT2k4
2. Play for a few minutes
3. System hangs, caps lock light blinks.

Expected Results:
I should be able to use my computer.

Using xorg 6.8.0 r3. About the card (as shown in xorg log):

Try starting an ssh server on your machine, can you ssh into it when the lock up occurs? Can you attach any releated kernel / xorg logs for us to view.

Reopen when you supply the above.
Comment 2 Eric Paynter 2005-01-08 12:57:27 UTC
No ssh or ping reply when it happened. Kernel was 2.4.26. I upgraded to 2.6 kernel series and the problem went away, so works for me if you leave it closed.
Comment 3 Andrew Bevitt 2005-01-08 15:37:36 UTC
ok thanks.
