Just upgraded to nvidia-kernel 6111. Now when I play 3d games for a few mins, system hangs. This also happenend with all the 5xxx series, so I've been using 4496 until it was recently removed from the tree :| Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch game like ET or UT2k4 2. Try starting an ssh server on your machine, can you ssh into it when the lock up occurs? Can you attach any releated kernel / xorg logs for us to view. Reopen when you supply the above.
No ssh or ping reply when it happened. Kernel was 2.4.26. I upgraded to 2.6 kernel series and the problem went away, so works for me if you leave it closed.
