In GNOME 3.32 I could switch users via the menu in the top right corner. After click on the current user name, there were the three items "Switch user", "Logout" and "Account Settings". After upgrading to GNOME 3.34 using the package list from https://bugs.gentoo.org/717144 the option to "Switch User" is not present anymore. I could workaround this issue by switching to the GDM screen with Ctrl+Alt+F1. I also found out when upgrading accountsservice to the latest version 0.6.55 using https://bugs.gentoo.org/684326 the issue is resolved and the "switch user" option is present again.
