After doing emerge -DNu world firefox-bin thinks adobe flash is no longer installed

1. firefox and adobe flash were working perfectly before emerge
2. if I mask firefox and downgrade to v 68.4.2 adobe flash starts working again
3. this happens on all my linux boxes

Didn't they remove support for that or disable it by default at some point?

yes, Mozilla says after v69 its deactivated by default.  They instruct you to go to plugins and activate it.  But firefox shows the plugin is not even installed - however gentoo shows that it is installed

Confirmed. Firefox-bin installed. Adobe-flash also. Firefox is not able to see flash. That's really great when you need to use flash urgently.

After 1 hour of research (urgently we said), the only workaround I found was to install www-client/google-chrome and configure it to allow execution of the flash plugin on the fly on a specific website.
