This is a new ebuild for the GenealogyJ genealogical app. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 43692 [details] The new ebuild for GenealogyJ
Created attachment 43693 [details, diff] The patch that gets applied once the source is unpacked. Goes in the ebuild's files directory
Works fine for me! :-) Note: the patch file need to be called fix-search-type.diff
I had to create a Manifest bash-2.05b# ebuild genealogyj-bin-2.2.ebuild digest but then it all emerged okay. Problems : Help->About : A file should have been displayed here instead of this text. Check your GenJ package. The file missing is :/home/optgentoo/genealogyj-bin/doc/authors.txt A file should have been displayed here instead of this text. Check your GenJ package. The file missing is :/home/optgentoo/genealogyj-bin/doc/gpl.txt and Help->Contents doesn't work at all - no errors. Just nothing happens.
Created attachment 54425 [details] Ebuild for v2.3.2 New ebuild for Genj 2.3.2 Patch is no longer required & files no longer need Windows EOF chars stripping, these are fixed in the source. Docs are now installed, but help is not included in source tarball, so can't be installed.
Anyone from the Gentoo Science team care to take a look at this?
Thanks for the submission. However, the Gentoo Science team is already spread very thin, and we currently focus on fixing bugs and training new developers, rather than adding new packages to Portage.
Created attachment 80767 [details] genealogyj-bin-2.3.2.ebuild New ebuild for 2.3.2. Includes all available localisations, help files, theme support (via swing), some bugfixes (i. e. /report hierarchy is copied entirely and not just 1st level). Maybe now would be a better time to review this ebuild, science team?
This is now in the sunrise overlay. You can find it soon at: http://gentoo-sunrise.org/svn/reviewed/app-misc/genealogyj-bin I updated to version 2.4.2, with added LINGUAS="pl" for Polish ressources, some rework on the ebuild and support for the geoview extension (enabled by USE="geoview", also USE="swing" has been renamed to USE="skins", because that seems the purpose to me.
Changing assignee to maintainer-wanted as there seems to be no movement or interest from gentoo science team (additionally, ebuilds in sunrise request maintainer-wanted as assignee). Adding sci@gentoo.org to CC so they can still follow.
version 3.0 of GenealogyJ is out now!
The ebuild was (finally) removed from Sunrise.
