Description Dion Sole 2004-11-09 03:07:44 UTC
Well as the summary says, when subversion-1.1.1 is emerged with USE="jikes", it fails during the compilation. It makes mention of many semantics errors, with names not having been fully declared at that point, and so on (see attachment for the full error, as its rather long)
Example:     59.                         return actionNames[action];
                                       ^---------^
*** Semantic Error: Illegal use of name "actionNames" which has not yet been fully declared at this point.

If you want any other info, like jdk version or whatever, just ask.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="jikes" emerge =subversion-1.1.1
2.
3.

Actual Results:
subversion failed

Expected Results:
subversion should compile with USE="jikes"

Output of `emerge info`:

Comment 3 Holger Hoffstätte 2004-11-12 12:25:14 UTC
As discussed in the other bugs this is unlikely to be fixed soon because it really is a bug in jikes. The best thing for now would be to remove the "jikes" USE flag from this ebuild.
