If I select "Restart the Computer" or "Shut down" from the logout window, it doesn't actually do what it should. Instead of restarting or shutting down, it just gets back to the gdm login window. To have it restarted or shut down, I can select "reboot" or "shutdown" from the System menu on the gdm login window. From there, it works properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. GNOME menu 2. Logout 3. Restart the computer Actual Results: Logged out of the session, but didn't restart or shutdown. Expected Results: Restart or shut down, depending on the selection. Please search first. Gnome-session doesn't have permissions to shutdown, but GDM does by elevating it's privileges. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 33298 ***
