I wanted to report that eclipse-cdt builds and runs like a charm on amd64 and should be marked ~amd64 (when patch from Bug #65358 is applied). To build I applied the second patch listed in Bug #65358, that fixes the build.xml file for Eclipse 3.0.1 (I have eclipse-sdk-3.0.1-r1 installed). To run eclipse, I have to unset MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME whether or not eclipse-cdt is installed. I reguards to the patch in Bug #65358, this will most likely not be the fix we wind up using, but we are working on a more complete fix for versioning problems in the eclipse/eclipse-plugins ebuilds. I will post here when we have some more progress. Cheers, Andy-

Update manager installs eclipse-cdt 3.0.0 on eclipse 3.1 if you provide write permissions to yourself. When eclipse installs it's owned by root.
