1. I have been running tinfo canaries for years, but this build didn't fail for me like it should have.

2. https://sourceforge.net/projects/open-cobol/ says:

"
    OpenCOBOL 1.1 became GNU Cobol 1.1 in 2013.
    GnuCOBOL 2.2 is the latest, version 3.0 is on its way.

Comment 5 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) gentoo-dev 2021-01-09 16:27:04 UTC
I too cannot reproduce this but I see "-Wl,-fuse-ld=gold" in the linker call. Perhaps a ld-gold regression?
Comment 6 nmm 2021-01-10 09:59:56 UTC
emerge --ask dev-lang/open-cobol # produces oc-gold.log
LD=ld.bfd emerge --ask dev-lang/open-cobol # produces oc-bdf.log

I think i had gold by defautlt, but i don't see any occurrence of "gold" in either log.
