Please bump this package in portage to the latest upstream, which is 1.5. This build also builds with Python-3.7, so we should consider adding python3_7 to the PYTHON_COMPAT in the ebuild. Fedora is already shipping a python3.7 build of this package. I have tested this bump and python flag and it builds and appears to run without any obvious issues.
